The ISA PnP Ethernet Card package contains the following items:
* One Ethernet Adapter
* One Utility Diskette
* One BNC T-connector (provided optionally)
The ISA PnP Ethernet Card is clearly displayed below with major components labeled.

* Jumperless architecture allows for easy software configuration via
a sophisticated setup program
GREEN [LED ON] to indicate the link integrity between the adapter
and the twisted-pair hub. The
LED remains on while the network cable’s link integrity is good.
[LED BLINK] to indicate that data is being received on the segment.
1. Connect the T-connector to the card's BNC connector.
2. Connect the Thin coaxial cable to the T-connector.
Note: If you are installing a station at the end of a cable segment, you need 50-ohm cable terminators at both ends of the cable segment (one end must be grounded).
1. Insert the RJ-45 connector into the UTP jack on the adapter.
2. Connect one end of the UTP cable to a 10BASE-T HUB.
SETUP.EXE is provided for you to view or change the configuration of
your Ethernet card, you can perform setup program on the distributed diskette.
Updates to this user guide are described in the README.DOC file found on the diskette provided. Please take a few minutes to print and read this file so that you don't miss any important changes to this guide.
The Utility Diskette contains several device drivers. These drivers are described below. The utility diskette also contains more updated information on configuring and installing these drivers with the network operating system of your choice.
ODI The ODI drivers are used when the Card is installed in a Novell NetWare network.
NDIS
The NDIS driver is used by Microsoft LAN Manager, Windows for Workgroups,
OS/2,
Banyan VINES, DECnet Pathworks, WIN/TCP PathWay Access, IBM LAN Support
Program and 3Com's 3+Open, etc.
NDIS3
The NDIS 3.X drivers are used by Microsoft Windows for Workgroups,
Windows NT and
Windows 95/95B.
NDIS4
Used by Windows NT4.0 and Windows98.
TCP/IP The
TCP/IP Packet Driver is used by FTP PC/TCP, Beame & Whiteside BW-NFS,
Wollogong Pathway Access, Sun PC-NFS, PC/IP of MIT, CMU and Harvard, CUTCP
of
Clarkson University, Phil Karn's KA9Q TCP/IP package and NCSA Telnet.
